Travelling with the Wegovy pill
The rules travel with you: the tablet on waking, on an empty stomach, a sip of water, 30 minutes before anything, and the bottle kept dry and closed. The label says nothing about time zones, so the honest reading is the one that keeps the longest fast of the day before the tablet, wherever the day starts.

The short answer
The rules travel with you: the tablet on waking, on an empty stomach, a sip of water, 30 minutes before anything, and the bottle kept dry and closed. The label says nothing about time zones, so the honest reading is the one that keeps the longest fast of the day before the tablet, wherever the day starts.
What the label says
Nothing about travel, and everything that matters for it.
From the labelTake WEGOVY tablets orally once-daily on an empty stomach in the morning with water (up to 4 ounces). After taking WEGOVY tablet wait at least 30 minutes before eating food, drinking beverages or taking other oral medications.
From the labelStore WEGOVY tablet in the original bottle until use to protect tablets from moisture.
The morning rule and the bottle rule are the whole travel kit. What the label never mentions is the clock: it says morning, and it means the moment after the long fast that sleep gives, which is why a time zone change is less of a problem than it looks.
The one number to carry
The manufacturer compared an overnight fast with fasts of 2, 4 and 6 hours before the tablet. The short fasts gave 56 to 88 percent less exposure. A tablet taken at the old home time in the middle of a new local afternoon, four hours after lunch, is a short-fast tablet. A tablet taken on waking at the new local morning is the one the label describes.
What people actually do
Travel is where the routine breaks, and people describe the same three failures: the hotel breakfast buffet eaten before the tablet, the coffee cart on an early flight, and the tablet left at home for a week. The first two are single mornings, and the label's rule is the same as for any missed dose: skip, resume tomorrow, never double. The third is a break, and a return after a week or two is worth a call to the prescriber before the first tablet back.
The habits people bring back from trips are the ones that survive anywhere: the bottle in the wash bag rather than a travel case, a shot glass or a water bottle cap by the hotel bed, and an alarm set to the new local morning the night before.
Oolite's day follows your wake time, not a fixed clock, so the reminder and the timer land in the local morning, and a missed day shows as one dip rather than a mystery.
Questions people ask
I am flying east and losing six hours. When do I take it?
The label has no time zone rule. It asks for the morning and an empty stomach, and its studies show that a short fast before the tablet costs most of its effect. Take it when you wake after your longest sleep, at the new local morning, and keep the 30 minutes. A day with a short night is a day to mention to your prescriber if it worries you.
Can I take it on the plane?
Only if the plane is where you wake up after a real sleep and can hold 30 minutes without the coffee cart. Otherwise it is a tablet after a short fast, which the manufacturer measured at 56 to 88 percent less exposure.
Can I put a week of tablets in a travel case?
The label says original bottle until use, to protect the tablets from moisture. Take the bottle. It is small.
What if I miss a day in transit?
The label says skip it and take the next one the following day, never two in one day. One missed day lowers the level by about a tenth in a model built on the label's half-life.
