Restarting the Wegovy pill after a break
The label has no restart rule for the tablet. It has one for the injection: after two or more consecutive missed doses, reinitiate the escalation at a lower dosage to reduce stomach side effects. After three weeks off, the modelled level is down to about an eighth, and going straight back to the old strength is the thing the injection rule exists to avoid. Ask the prescriber before the first tablet back.

The short answer
The label has no restart rule for the tablet. It has one for the injection: after two or more consecutive missed doses, reinitiate the escalation at a lower dosage to reduce stomach side effects. After three weeks off, the modelled level is down to about an eighth, and going straight back to the old strength is the thing the injection rule exists to avoid. Ask the prescriber before the first tablet back.
What the label says
For the tablet, the missed dose section is one sentence, about one day.
From the labelIf a dose of WEGOVY tablets is missed, skip the missed dose and take the next dose the following day.
For the injection, the same section goes further.
From the labelIf 2 or more consecutive doses of WEGOVY injection are missed, reinitiate dosage escalation at a lower dosage to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions.
The tablet has no equivalent line. That is not permission to restart at the top; it is silence, and the injection's rule is the closest thing the label offers for the same situation.
What a break does to the level
Semaglutide falls by about half each week. After one week off, half the level remains. After two, a quarter. After three, an eighth. The label itself says the drug is still present five to seven weeks after the last tablet, which is the same curve read to its end.
So a three week holiday is not a pause. It is nearly a stop, and the first tablet back at 9 or 25 mg lands on a stomach that has had three weeks to forget. The escalation exists for exactly that stomach.
What people actually do
Breaks happen for reasons the label never lists: a holiday, a pharmacy delay, an insurance gap, a month of nausea. The forums describe the return honestly. One person restarted at the same dose after three weeks off and was sick ten times. Others were fine. Nobody can say in advance which they will be, and that is the point of asking.
The most useful thing people describe bringing to the prescriber is the exact number of days off. Oolite keeps it: the last tablet taken, the days since, and the level chart falling across the gap, so the conversation starts with a fact.
Questions people ask
I was off for two weeks on holiday. Can I go straight back to 9 mg?
The tablet label does not say. In the half-life model, two weeks off leaves about a quarter of the level, and three weeks about an eighth. The injection label's answer to a similar gap is a lower restart. This is the prescriber's call, and the model is worth bringing.
What does the injection rule say exactly?
If 2 or more consecutive doses of the injection are missed, reinitiate dosage escalation at a lower dosage to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions. Two weekly doses is two weeks, roughly the gap where the tablet's level has halved twice.
Does Foundayo have a restart rule?
Yes, an explicit one: after 7 or more consecutive missed doses, reinitiate the escalation at a lower dosage. The label's reason is to reduce the risk of stomach side effects.
What happens if I restart at the full strength anyway?
The label's whole escalation is written to reduce stomach reactions, and a restart at the top skips it. People on the forums describe the result plainly. Do not find out; ask.
